Shark Rocket

The Good Useful attachments and decent performance make the Shark Rocket a contender in the field of lightweight vacuums.

The Bad The Rocket's cord is inconvenient and means that you likely won't use it for quick clean-up.

The Bottom Line The Shark Rocket combines adequate cleaning power with a broad array of cleaning extensions into a recommendable, affordable, lightweight vacuum. Only its cord holds it back.

Full Review

It's not as sleek or streamlined as the wireless

, but the corded, $179 Shark Rocket features similar attachment options and adequate performance for less than half the price.

While the Rocket never won any of our cleaning tests, it never came in last, either. You might find the cord a nuisance (I'll admit it annoyed me), but Shark tries to make it as easy as possible for you to manage. If you like the look of this handheld-to-stick-vacuum but want to ditch the cord and make more of an investment, you can't go wrong with the DC59. More traditional stick vacuums like the

Hoover Platinum Collection LiNX

also impressed us, however, and you might appreciate the LiNX's simplicity and consistent performance which was equal to, if not better than, the Shark's.

The Shark Rocket is a lightweight, corded, in-hand vacuum. The handheld portion, which weighs 4.2 pounds, includes the bin, the primary motor, and the power cord. The attachments add weight, naturally, but even with the floor nozzle and extension tube connected (arguably the heaviest setup), I still found the Rocket light and easy to handle. The fact that it has a cord is a bit of a nuisance, especially if you're used to a cordless vacuum.

The Shark Rocket Complete HV380 is corded, converts to a hand vac and comes with a 12” crevice tool, a dusting brush and an upholstery tool. The dirt bin can be emptied in one step.

Kommentare:

Hallo.

Best Vacuum Cleaners

Buying Guide

Your Selections Clear All

iRobot Roomba 690

The affordable Roomba 690 also heeds your calls for Alexa to clean.

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal

The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball turns on a dime as you navigate your house and rights itself if it gets knocked over.

Dyson's new lightweight vacuum is more powerful than its predecessor, while the company's new stand-up vacuum can't be pushed over.

Ecovacs Deebot D79

The Deebot D79 from Ecovacs can handle both hard floors and soft carpets, and takes robot vacuuming to another level with the brains to automatically empty its dustbin.

iRobot Braava Jet 240 Mopping Robot

The iRobot Braava Jet 240 covers less floor space than its predecessor, but improves on the design in hope of a more thorough clean.

Dyson Small Ball Multi Floor

The Small Ball is a mini version of Dyson's standard upright vacuum, but also promises at least one key update.

Black & Decker Lithium Ion Vacuums with Smartech Technology

AutoSense changes the suction based on floor type for these battery-powered models, and tops the list of their clever new features.

LG CordZero Canister Vacuum

The CordZero from LG, on display at CES 2016, automatically stays at your heels as you move throughout your house.

Samsung PowerBot Turbo VR9350 Robot Vacuum

The app-enabled version of Samsung's robot vacuum will map your home onto your phone and let you tell it exactly where and how you want it to clean.

Samsung Powerbot Essential Robotic Vacuum

The $700 PowerBot Essential features a few upgrades and begs a few questions.

Shark Rotator Powered Lift Away NV752

With a remarkable amount of flexibility afforded by its well-implemented features, the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away is as easy to use as any full-size upright we've tested. To top it off, it cleans almost as well as vacuums that cost twice as much.

Dyson v6 Absolute

As usual, Dyson produced a competent product that costs too much. At $600, the Absolute isn't worth the upgrade over the Linx or even over other Dyson sticks.

Black & Decker 36V Max Lithium Stick Vacuum with ORA Technology

The Black & Decker Lithium Vacuum is mediocre and tedious to use. It needs to be better than that to be worth its $300 price point.

iRobot Create 2

iRobot's programmable Create 2 gives tech enthusiasts the chance to experiment with robotics.

Black & Decker Lithium Stick Vacuum with ORA Technology

Black & Decker's newest stick vacs promise lots of suction and long lasting power.

Dirt Devil Lift & Go

Contrary to its appearance as a real bargain, usability issues and subpar cleaning performance mar this Dirt Devil.

Dyson v6 Animal

Dyson's v6 Motorhead competes well enough as a high-end stick vac, but poor battery life and a tendency to clog with large particles hold the v6 Motorhead back from replacing your full-size upright.

Dyson V6 Motorhead

Dyson's v6 Motorhead competes well enough as a high-end stick vac, but poor battery life and a tendency to clog with large particles hold the v6 Motorhead back from replacing your full-size upright.
